Billa Kalina Work Plan - PED

Abstract

This dataset and its metadata statement were supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and are presented here as originally supplied.

The lines in this layer represent the possible direction of groundwater flow in two stratigraphic formations; Mount Toondina Formation and Boorthanna Formation. Flow is inferred to occur from areas interpreted to be zones of recharge, toward zones of discharge. Including Zone of Discharge and Zone of Recharge only.

Purpose

To understand the possible direction of groundwater flow within the Arckaringa Basin. Including Zone of Discharge and Zone of Recharge only.

Dataset History

This line layer is based on available data and historical interpretation; Wohling Et al. (2013) and are primarily estimated by interpreting the potentiometric surfaces. Additional sources of data that fed into the development of these lines include the "Zones of Recharge and Zones of Discharge" presented in the Hydro_elements.shp. Ideally, both shape files should be viewed together. Including Zone of Discharge and Zone of Recharge only.
