CLM - Stratigraphic wells data from IRTM in the QLD area of the Clarence-Morton bioregion

Abstract

This dataset was supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and is presented here as originally supplied. The metadata was not provided by the data supplier and has been compiled by the programme based on known details.

Stratigraphic well locations have been downloaded from the Qld IRTM system. This file only includes deep wells that have been drilled specifically to improve the knowledge on the subsurface in the Clarence-Moreton Basin. Most of these wells are described in detail in Wells and O'Brien, 1994.

Dataset History

The data is from the Qld IRTM system and Wells and O'Brien 1994 (Reference: Wells, AT and O'Brien, PE (compilers and editors) (1994a). Geology and petroleum potential of the Clarence-Moreton Basin, New South Wales and Queensland. Australian Geological Survey Organisation, Bulletin 241, 302pp..)
