Abstract
The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme. This dataset was derived from multiple datasets. You can find a link to the parent datasets in the Lineage Field in this metadata statement. The History Field in this metadata statement describes how this dataset was derived.
A 1000 m * 1000m Reference vector grid (clipped by a overview polygon to increase processing and rendering efficiency) over the entire Bioregional Assessment Bioregions/Preliminary Areas of Extent (using the boundary that is largest) starting at the whole km to ensure grid lines fall exactly on the whole km. This grid is intended as the template for standardized assessment units for the following bioregional assessment regions:
Hunter
Namoi
Clarence-Moreton
Galilee
To ensure efficiency each of the above Assessments have their own grid and extent created from this master vector grid template, (please see Lineage).
The unique ID field for each grid cell is AUID and starts from 1. The grid also has a column id and row for easy reference.
The grid is in Australia Albers (GDA94) (EPSG 3577)
Purpose
This is an attempt to standardise (where possible) outputs of models from BA assessments and is a whole of BA template for the groundwater and potentially surface water teams of the above mentioned assessment areas.
Dataset History
This dataset is an attempt to improve the efficiency of rendering and processing using the Assessment Units grid.
This dataset is a clipped version of the source vector grid dataset by a surrounding polygon such that all Bioregional assessment regions are included (with the exception of Gippsland Basin bioregion).
The R001_C001 row and column ID from the source AUID - Assessment Unit vector grid has been preserved in this version.
